My 80 series window protector I got off you some 17 years ago is some what scratched, and I’m wanting to replace it. Could you advise the cost of a new rear window protector to suit an 80 series Toyota landcruiser.

Greatings Mike and Sue

your window saver has been fantastic, been down parts of the gibb river road and up to Cape Leveque, seen quite a few broken windows  glad l invested in one of your rear window savers.
Many thanks for your help at the time, attached is a couple of photos as we are crossing the Nullarbor at the moment.

Hi Mike

The window saver arrived Monday as promised and we finished fitting it last night with no problems. It looks excellent ( 10 times better then foam matting or beer cartons stuck to the back window) and was easy to fit.
We leave tomorrow for a 10 month holiday around Australia so it will get a proper workout.
Thanks for your help and the speed of delivery.
Regards Boyd

Hi Mike,

I have now had a chance to open and fit the rear window protector on the Pajero.

It fits perfectly and I would like to thank you for your fantastic design, quality and service.

I will definitely be recommending this product to everyone who has similar needs for towing.

Regards John

G’day Mike,

You may remember our discussions on the Rear Window Saver that you supplied for my 200 Series GX around a month ago. I did call subsequently to provide some feedback regarding the bit of tape that caught the rear window wiper when it operated. You suggested me a workable solution. I was just doing some fiddling on my Cruiser and decided to see if I could modify the tape where the rear window washer ‘scraped’. Success!

So, here are some photos of the tape after I completed the surgery, also with the saver fitted to the vehicle and a view from inside the tank. We are off later this week for our annual trip into the Snowy River national park, so I will take some pictures with our Tvan attached as well – but in a non-suburban setting.

Cheers, Mark

Just enquiring as to the price of a saver to suit a 2006 100 series Landcruiser.

We purchased one from you about 6 years ago for a Prado and did the around Aust trip with a van. I think it saved us at least a couple of times!

Thanks Mark

Just a quick email to let you know that the rear window saver worked fine.

Trip included corrugated unsealed roads Cairns to Weipa and return, Savannah way from Burketown to Roper Bar, Gibb River road, Cape Leveque road north of Broome, and Tanami Track from Halls Creek to Alice Springs.

Plenty of stones hit the back of the car and also ended up on the roof and in the boat.

I am sure that if the protector wasn't on that there was a high probability the rear window would have been damaged. Just having the protector meant we didn't have to worry about the window at all.

All the tapes stayed in place, and have continued to do so despite being parked in the hot Qld sun. I still run around with it on every day due to the amount of gravel spilt on the roads around here with all the roadworks and industry.

I have also had a lot of people ask what it was, whether it worked, and where could they get it.

I hope a few have ended up giving you some business.

I have attached a couple of photos of the protector in place at Kingfisher Camp (1589), between Lawn Hill and Hells Gate in NW Qld, and on the Tanami Track (2194) near the WA / NT border.

Regards Rob

G'day Mike,

Well – so far 13,000k's and rear window of the LC200 intact!

We're on our way back now, heading down the east coast, so blacktop now all the way!

Couple of pics attached as promised…!   Feel free to use them on your web site…

Best regards,

Dear Obie,

I have just changed my vehicle, having purchased your Window Saver previously (around 10 years ago).  I now need to purchase a Rear Window Saver for my new Land Rover Discovery 4 (MY13).  Could you please advise the cost and delivery time.

Thank you.

Mike here’s a couple of photos. Am highly satisfied with your rear window saver it worked a treat and certainly saved our rear window in our opinions as we have the marks on it to prove it. We did the Central Arnhem road last weekend which is pretty harsh as you know and i say your product is money well spent.

Hi Obie,

I bought a screensaver for my Sahara from you in May 2008.

I have now upgraded to a 200 Series Toyota LC Sahara.

Please advise on cost and shipping.

Many thanks

Hello Mike,

I purchased a Rear Window Saver for a Discovery 4 last year. We have been very pleased with it; having travelled extensively in remote northern Australia since fitting it. I am certain that it has saved the rear window a number of times, and we continue to see many unfortunate fellow travellers coping with broken rear windows. Perhaps some of those who have been interested in your product, having seen it on our vehicle, have subsequently placed an order with you.

Thanks Mike.

Having used your product over the last 12 years on a Patrol, I can vouch for it’s effectiveness

Kind regards

Hi Mike and Sue,

Praise for your Obie’s rear window protector which we have been using on our old year 2000 NM Pajero.

We have made many recommendations on our travels around Australia.

We have now bought a year 2005 Toyota Landcruiser Series 100 and need to fit another Obie’s Outback rear window protector for our towing.

Please throw in some extra business cards and protector fitting instructions to make fielding enquiries from the travelling public easier for us

Thanks for the feedback on your  Rear Window Saver®
